Is your therapist regulated? Why not?

Whilst there are some who will state that regulation in the field of various therapies doesn't matter, I strongly disagree. Not because I don't think there aren't amazing therapists out there but because of the amount of clients who come to me after seeing someone who quite clearly has no idea what they are doing. I am not the only therapist to have experienced this. It seems to be getting worse. The first mantra for all therapists is 'do no harm'. With the increasing number of tin pot courses online for less than £500, with a certificate that states the words 'practitioner' after the modality, it is no wonder finding good therapy can be a minefield.
